Memorial and Honor Giving
There are many ways that people at First Baptist can contribute money to help grow the church that go beyond regular tithes. These contributions express feelings of gratitude, remembrance, and celebration through the church which will forever more be involved in spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ throughout the world.
Members are encouraged to take advantage of automatic bank draft which can be set up by filling out a form available at the FBC office. Another way is by setting up a trust or making your wishes known in your will. Giving is a personal preference. Some want to give now and see the effects of their gift. Others want to give so that their gift will keep on giving long after they are gone. FBC of Thomaston has a Memorial and Honor gift program that can fill the gifting needs of everyone.

A Memorial gift is given in the name of a deceased person or to celebrate a past event. Sometimes this gift is done in lieu of funeral flowers or to remember loved ones from years ago on their birth date, anniversary, baptism, or other occation.
A honor gift is given to honor a living person or celebrate a special occasion. This is a way that many choose to honor the birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, baptisms, marriages, or thanks for the special meaning someone has been in their lives .
